Welcome to Brave Beautiful Boobies, where every day is focused on Breast Cancer Awareness! As I celebrate my first Breast Cancer Awareness Month as a triple-negative breast cancer survivor, I’m so excited to share this heartfelt resource list that I’ve been working on for months. My hope is that this collection of resources will offer comfort, guidance, and support to survivors, thrivers, and caretakers navigating their unique journeys.
Please keep in mind that while I’ve done my best to provide accurate and up-to-date information, some details may change over time. This list is a labor of love, created with the intention of lifting others up. 💕
financial aid
Find programs that offer grants, assistance with daily living costs, and support for co-payments to ease the financial burden of breast cancer treatment.
Pink Fund: Provides 90-day non-medical cost-of-living expenses on behalf of qualifying breast cancer patients in active treatment.
Pink Ribbon Riders: Provides direct financial assistance to both men and women diagnosed with breast cancer.
Hope Lodge: 30+ Hope Lodge communities across the country provide a free place to stay when treatment is not close to their home.
Susan G Komen: $400 grants for eligible individuals to help pay for daily living costs a they are undergoing treatment.
CancerCare: Support with co-payments, childcare, pets, transportation, & more.
Cold capping
Learn about cold cap therapy options that help reduce hair loss during chemotherapy.
Penguin Cold Caps: More information on the original cold cap, this is the cold cap that I used throughout my cancer journey.

Minnesota specific resources
Explore local organizations providing mentorship, financial assistance, meal delivery, and community support for Minnesotans facing breast cancer.
Cold Cap Therapy Midwest: The company that I used to rent Penguin Cold Caps and for my full-service cold capping. I cannot recommend them enough!
Hope Chest for Breast Cancer: Hope Chest grants can help pay rent, mortgages, car payments, utility bills, daycare costs, and more. I applied for help upon diagnosis and was given a gift card to help pay for gas money to and from appointments.
Firefly Sisterhood: Get paired with local mentors whom have had a similar diagnosis and treatment plan. I had two amazing mentors that supported me throughout my cancer journey.
Minnesota Breasties Facebook Group: Connect with others who have experienced breast in that live locally. This is a great place to hear about local events and meet ups as well!
Join the Journey: Walks, mentorship programs, volunteer opportunities, and support groups for MN residents.
MN Angel: Emergency financial assistance, financial cancer care, and adult & family programs.
Pay it Forward Fund: A fund that helps women cancer patients pay basic living expenses as they go through treatment.
Open Arms MN: This amazing company prepares and delivers nutritious meals to Minnesota residents living with life-threatening illnesses, such as cancer.

Experience healing adventures, retreats, and events designed for breast cancer survivors to connect and thrive.
First Descents: Experience the healing power of adventure with trips that are available to all cancers and genders. There are many dates, locations, and activity options offered throughout the year.
Project Koru: Project Koru enriches lives through community and the outdoors as a way to move forward beyond cancer. Camp Koru is their week-long outdoor adventure camp that is inclusive to all AYA cancer survivors.
Casting for Recovery: A free fly fishing trip for women whose lives have deeply affected by breast cancer. This weekend focuses on gathering in a natural setting to learn something new and discuss survivorship issues with women in similar circumstances.
Cancercon: A life-changing weekend for adolescents and young adults who have experienced cancer.
Epic Experience: Empowering adult cancer survivors and thrivers to live beyond cancer by offering week-long camps and regional meet ups.
Send It Foundation: Outdoor adventures for young adult (ages 21-40) cancer patients and survivors that focus on removing them from their cancer experience and creating the space to play, connect, and have fun in the outdoors. Many trips take place near the San Francisco Bay Area, Lake Tahoe, and Costa Rica.
Boarding for Breast Cancer (B4BC): Retreats designed for young breast cancer patients that focus on supporting them on their lifelong journey to wellness. Many trips include activities such as snowboarding, surfing, white water rafting, and more.
