Hey, Im Breanna!

Back in July 2023 life was turned upside down when I was diagnosed with stage IIB breast cancer.

After finding a lump in my breast, I was given the diagnosis of triple-negative invasive ductal carcinoma. This is a rare type of breast cancer that has fewer treatment options as the cells don’t have estrogen, progesterone, or HER2 receptors. Due to its aggressive and fast-growing nature, it is also treated aggressively and I have been given a treatment plan that includes 16 “healing sessions” followed by a double mastectomy.

Due to my love for expressing myself through writing, I’ve decided on a blog as my medium to keep friends and family from all over the world up to date on this journey. This will not only be my creative outlet and passion project, but it will also be a place where you can come for the latest updates and to get the inside scoop on what has been going on. So sit back, relax, and get ready to read about how I’m taking my diagnosis and all the curve balls life is throwing at me by storm.

This blog is dedicated to anyone who has thought, prayed, or sent good vibes my way during this journey. To the people who have come to sit with me during treatment, to those who have made delicious homecooked meals, sent heartfelt cards or gift boxes, run errands for me, or watched Mochi. This blog is dedicated to my incredible support system that have been there since day 1 and will be there cheering me on when I cross the finish line.

I love you all & thank you for reading and sharing my story.
